The National Security Service is a republican body of executive authority, which elaborates and implements the policies of the Republic of Armenia Government in the national security sector and manages national security bodies.

The mission of the Service is to predict, prevent, counteract and protect against external threats to the Republic of Armenia and society, as well as to reveal opportunities for the development of the state by providing political decision makers with reliable, credible and enforceable intelligence information and implementing special measures.

The goals and objectives of the State Protection Service are: forecasting and identifying threats to objects under state protection, implementing complex measures to prevent threats, ensuring the security of objects under state protection in their permanent or temporary locations, including during traffic.

The State Control Service provides for the implementation of the oversight powers vested in the Prime Minister by the Constitution and the laws of the Republic of Armenia.
