The Health and Labor Inspection Body of the Republic of Armenia carries out supervisory and/or other functions prescribed by law, as well as applies sanctions in the fields of health care, labor law, including ensuring health and safety of employees, acting on behalf of the Republic of Armenia.
Bodies under Government
The Environmental Protection and Mining Inspection Body of the Republic of Armenia, EPMIB exercises supervision and / or other functions prescribed by law. The Inspectorate may apply sanctions in the field of environmental protection, as well as regarding the use and reproduction of subsoil and mineral resources.
The Cadastre Committee of the Republic of Armenia maintains state registry of real estate and geospatial information systems, promotes development of real estate market, as well as development and implementation of land policy.
The Education Inspectorate exercises oversight and (or) other functions as prescribed by law, as well as imposes sanctions in the field of education, acting on behalf of the Republic of Armenia.
The Nuclear Safety Committee streamlines the use of nuclear energy on behalf of the State with a view to ensuring the safety of the population and the personnel, protecting the environment and ensuring the security of the Republic of Armenia.
The Market Oversight Inspection Body is a body subordinate to the Government that carries out oversight and other functions defined by law, which applies liability measures in the areas of non-food products, precious metals and ensuring the uniformity of measurements as prescribed by law.
The State Revenue Committee is a tax and customs authority established under the RA laws “On Tax Service,” “On Customs Regulations” and “On Customs Service.”
The Food Safety Inspectorate implements assessment of food products’ conformity with the applicable standards, regulates the administration of veterinary and sanitary services, as well as ensures control and imposes sanctions acting on behalf of the Republic of Armenia.
The Statistics Committee is a State body, envisaged under the law of the Republic of Armenia “On official statistics,” which is independent in the exercise of its powers.
The Statistics Committee is the main producer of official statistics in the Republic of Armenia. The Committee coordinates all activities related to the development, production and dissemination of official statistics through the system of national statistics, except for the Central Bank of the Republic of Armenia.
The Urban Development Committee elaborates and implements the policy of the Government of the Republic of Armenia in the field of urban development.
The Urban Development, Technical and Fire Safety Inspectorate is a body subordinate to the Government of the Republic of Armenia, which is responsible for supervision and other law-prescribed functions. Acting on behalf of the Republic of Armenia, in the manner established by law, the Inspectorate may impose sanctions in the fields of urban development, technical and fire safety, transport, energy, local and national geodesic and mapping activities and land use.
The Inspectorate is supposed to ensure compliance with the safety and legislative regulations applicable in the areas of urban development, technical and fire safety, transport, energy, local and national geodesic and mapping activities and land use.
